Clark Air Base

Clark Air Base, west of Angeles and northwest of Manila, is the reason the Freeport has wide roads, old housing blocks, and an airport on the doorstep. The leisure park was built inside that landscape, not beside a random provincial highway.

You will not tour an active historic base as a single ticketed site. What you can do is notice the grid: the parade of trees, the distance between gates, and how a 300-hectare park fits without feeling like downtown Angeles.

For flight days, the airfield matters more than the history. Read the airport transfer guide before you promise anyone a tight connection.
